Shimano is a $2.1 billion global company offering the world’s sporting community with top labels and brands including Shimano, Pearl Izumi, G. Loomis, Power Pro, PRO, and AIM. We seek a visionary leader to drive success in the internet arena. Although we are located in Irvine, California, the position is responsible for a W3 team delivering global solutions for Team Shimano offices worldwide, and travel is required.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent track record in delivering internet-based solutions while demonstrating the leadership and communication skills commensurate with leading a global team. Skills such as consensus building, creative solutions recommendations, and presentations of strategy alternatives are necessary. Experience running a team dedicated to the efficient delivery of globalized content, regional customization and implementation, and support of a stable infrastructure are also
vital to meeting the requirements of the position.
Requirements for success:
• Improve business processes and support critical business strategies by managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of applications and infrastructure used globally
• Strong experience in program and project management
• Monitor internet trends and offer recommendations on how or if they should be applied to Shimano
• Build and foster a team of effective technical professionals
• Budget management skills
• Vision in developing technology direction and long-term solutions
• Lead multiple projects and oversee developers, quality assurance and other resources to ensure that specifications and quality are met
• Manage discovery, development, implementation and level of quality of critical initiatives
• Oversee the management of website and application maintenance and ensure site performance meets expectations
• Review project specifications and ensure that developers meet project goals accurately and on time
• Develops and implements policies and procedures to improve communication, efficiency and quality
Bachelor’s degree in related area required including acquisition of sufficient experience and skills in all requirements listed above.
